Rent Collections
We at Del Val have become much more aggressive in terms of rent collection
Over the past 2 years there have been a number of COVID and rent relief agencies offering rental assistance. This meant that when tenants got behind they had a place to get rental assistance and get their rent caught up
But many of these programs are now shut down or winding down so now we are seeing tenants' rental balances starting to rise.
Del Val has started a new program where we send out automated emails and texts, almost on a daily basis, to become the "squeaky wheel" and push our tenants hard to either pay their rent or work with us to set payment plans.
As a result you may be hearing from your tenants complaining about this extra activity
We are asking our owners to allow us to continue this program. We will fine tune parts of it but we feel it is our duty to be very aggressive in terms of rent collection. So if you hear from your tenants you can explain what is happening.
